The coastline of Alghero offers a wide variety of beaches, each different in landscape, atmosphere, and level of services, yet all sharing clear waters, shallow seabeds, and intense colors. City beaches, more secluded coves, wide and unspoiled shores — choosing where to go is also a way of choosing how to experience your day.

BOMBARDE BEACH. One of Alghero’s most iconic beaches, known for its crystal-clear water with green-blue shades and its light-colored sand. It is a well-equipped beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, and food services, and is also suitable for families thanks to a nearby playground. Canoes, windsurfing equipment, and sailboats are available for rent, making it ideal for those who enjoy combining relaxation with activities.

MUGONI BEACH - PORTO CONTE. Set within the Porto Conte Natural Park, Mugoni is a long beach sheltered from winds and currents, backed by a dense pine forest that provides natural shade. The atmosphere is more wild and spacious, while still offering essential services such as showers, restrooms, and sunbed and umbrella rentals. Ideal for those seeking tranquility and open spaces.

MARIA PIA BEACH. One of the most popular beaches among families, thanks to its gently sloping seabed and fine, light sand dotted with natural dunes. Stretching between Alghero and Fertilia, it is perfect for days at the beach with young children, long walks along the shore, and relaxed breaks by the sea.

LA SPERANZA BEACH. A lesser-known beach characterized by volcanic sand with black and silvery tones. The sea is very clear and the seabed remains shallow and sandy. Easily accessible thanks to a large parking area, it offers sunbed and umbrella rentals and is a good alternative for those looking for a quieter, more intimate setting.

LAZZARETTO BEACH. A wide stretch of light-colored sand overlooking a sea with countless shades of blue. Beyond the main beach, Lazzaretto is famous for its many small coves, without services but ideal for those seeking privacy and a more direct connection with the sea.

LIDO BEACH. Alghero’s city beach, easily reachable on foot by following the Passeggiata Busquets promenade. Fine white sand, crystal-clear water, shallow seabeds, and a wide range of services make it one of the most popular beaches, loved by both visitors and locals. Ideal for combining beach time with city life.
DISTANCE: 1 KM

PELOSA BEACH. Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, La Pelosa is famous for its very fine sand, extremely shallow waters, and turquoise tones that blend seamlessly with the sky. The scenery is enhanced by the historic towers surrounding the bay. To preserve the beach, access is regulated and allowed only with prior booking; the use of a mat under beach towels is mandatory.
